You can’t satisfy everybody, says Asake

103

Nigerian singer Asake has responded a viral video featuring a man named Fatai Odunsi, who claims to be his biological father.

In the video, Odunsi appeals for financial help due to health problems, sparking widespread attention and public debate.

In a newly released video, Asake addressed the controversy, making it clear that he has always been generous but that it is impossible to satisfy everyone.

The man, who identified himself as Asake’s father, had alleged that he has been battling a partial stroke since March 2022 and had not received any help from the singer.

In the emotional video, he pleaded with Nigerians to assist him financially, claiming that his resources had been exhausted.

Responding to these claims, Asake expressed amusement at the situation, stating that even his own father had attempted to manipulate him.

He laughed during the video remarking, “Even my father tried to cajole me. I am not surprised.”

He ended the video with laughter, implying that he had expected such behavior.

Asake also emphasised that he is a man who operates with a clear conscience and has consistently given back to those around him.

He, however, noted that no matter how much one does for people, some will never be satisfied.

The video of his response has sparked mixed reactions on social media.

While some fans supported Asake, stating that he has no obligation to help someone simply because they claim to be his father, others criticised his seemingly dismissive attitude toward the situation.

It was gathered that Asake has been seen in several videos having a good time with his mother, but the same gesture has not been extended to his father.

This has fueled speculations about the nature of their relationship and whether past grievances are at play.

Many observers pointed out that Asake’s stage name is derived from his mother’s name, which could indicate that his relationship with his father has been strained for years.

This has led to speculations that there may be deeper family issues at play.

Meanwhile, Fatai Odunsi, alongside his brother Sonibare, continued to seek public assistance.

His claims of being abandoned by Asake have fueled debates about celebrities and their responsibilities toward their family members.

It was also reported that Asake’s father allegedly abandoned him as a young boy, but there was a counter-reaction to this claim.

Some close relatives stated that Asake’s father never left him, clarifying that his mother and father had separated a long time ago.
