Few days after returning from Brazil, President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Wednesday for a three-day state visit to France.
The visit is on the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.
The visit aims to strengthen political, economic, and cultural relations between the two nations, with a focus on establishing new opportunities for partnership in key sectors such as agriculture, security, education, health, and innovation.
During the visit, President Tinubu and his wife, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, will be received by President Macron and his spouse, Brigitte, at the historic Les Invalides and Palais de l’Élysée in Paris.

Information and Strategy on Tuesday, the initial ceremonies will pave the way for bilateral meetings between the two leaders, where they will discuss shared values on finance, solid minerals, trade, and investments, as well as communication.
Persecondnews reports that one of the key areas of focus during the visit will be on stimulating interest in exchange programs that promote skill development for youths, particularly in areas such as automation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.
The two leaders will also witness a session by the France-Nigeria Business Council, which oversees private sector participation in economic development.
In addition to the bilateral meetings, Brigitte Macron and Sen. Oluremi Tinubu will discuss the latter’s passion for empowering women, children, and vulnerable groups through the Renewed Hope Initiative.
The visit will be rounded off with a state dinner hosted by President Macron before Tinubu and his wife return to Abuja.
The state visit is expected to yield significant benefits for Nigeria, particularly in terms of strengthening economic ties with France and attracting foreign investment.
With top government officials accompanying Tinubu on the trip, the visit is seen as a crucial step in enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations.

They include Guinea-Bissau_ (twice), Kenya, Benin Republic, Ethiopia, Senegal, India, Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, France and the United Kingdom.
Others are Germany, The Netherlands, the United States of America and the last, Brazil.
These trips have been part of his efforts to promote Nigeria’s interests abroad and attract foreign investment.
