Two days after she was kidnapped, a 17-year-old girl and student of Lisabi Grammar School, Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, has been killed.

Habeebah Akinsanya, who was abducted on Friday, August 30, was found dead on Sunday.

Persecondnews gathered that she was seized by the daredevils at Kilometre 6 community in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area area of the state.

According to reports, Habeebah’s father, Akinsanya Aremu, a member of the state security outfit, So-Safe Corps, immediately reported the kidnapping to the Kemta Police Station in Abeokuta.

Shortly after, the kidnappers contacted him, demanding a ransom of N1 million for her release.

After initially sharing a UBA account, Aremu gathered the money and transferred the ransom to an Opay account in an attempt to secure his daughter’s release.

Despite meeting their demands, the father’s worst fears came true when they told him to pick up his daughter from a location near Obasa, a few kilometres from the OGTV/Mile 6 area.

When he arrived at the location on Sunday morning, he found Habeebah’s lifeless body, brutally mutilated with multiple machete wounds and soldier ants taking possession, Persecondnews further learned.

The audacious kidnappers contacted the father again on Sunday morning, demanding another ransom, but he declined.

According to report, Habeebah, who was set to enter SS3 when schools resume for a new academic session on September 13 and would have turned 17 in October, was being prepared for burial.

The State Police Command has yet to react to the incident as of press time.
