Just in: Borno commissioner slumps, dies

Borno State Commissioner for Finance, Ahmed Ali Ahmed, is dead.

The Borno State Government confirmed his death on Monday, August 26.

It was gathered that when Ahmed did not come early to go to his office on Monday morning, the door to his room was forced open with the lifeless body inside.

A statement by the State Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Usman Tar, confirmed that Ahmad died Monday morning.

“His burial is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024, at his family residence on Damboa Road, behind the Indimi residence in Maiduguri,” the statement said.
