Six-time African Women Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, arrived at the senior women’s national team camp in the city of Jerez de la Frontera outside Sevilla on Wednesday, ahead of preparation for the Olympics in France.
Persecondnews reports that the United States of America (USA)-based forward arrival swelled the number of players in camp to 15.
Ahead of her arrival, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team, Bay FC, sent the former FC Barcelona forward off alongside two players heading to the women’s football event of the Olympics.
After a 3-0 loss to the Washington Spirit, the trio of Oshoala, Rachael Kundananji (Zambia), and the Canadian goalkeeper, were presented with flowers as they bid the team farewell to the Olympics.
This season, Oshoala has scored three goals and assisted Bay FC in the NWSL.
