The concluding phase of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which began on Monday, is ongoing, with President Bola Tinubu presiding.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, and other council members are attending the second leg of the council meeting.
Persecondnews reports that Tuesday’s session began at minutes past 12:00 noon at the Council Chamber of the State House.
The marathon meeting by the Council considered at least 32 memoranda on Monday.
However, the meeting was adjourned until Tuesday, May 14, to allow for other “far-reaching” decisions to be disclosed later today.
Mr. Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, who announced the adjournment, said: “We have not yet concluded today’s council meeting. The council meeting will continue tomorrow.
“Therefore, there will be no press briefing today. A lot of far-reaching decisions are being taken, and the conclusions will be made available to you tomorrow.”
