Contrary to speculations, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd has assured the public that there is no imminent increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.

NNPC Ltd has, therefore, urged Nigerians to disregard the unfounded rumour, saying there are no plans for an upward review of the PMS price, a statement by Mr. Olufemi Soneye, the company’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer said.

It advised motorists not to engage in panic buying as there is currently ample availability of PMS across the country.
