President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday made public the portfolios of the ministerial nominees recently screened and confirmed by the Senate.
According to a list released by the Presidency, the president may have allocated the Ministry of Petroleum Resources to himself just like his predecessor, ex-President Muhammandu Buhari, who held sway as the Minister in charge of Petroleum Resources in his eight-year tenure with Chief Timipre Sylva from Bayelsa as Minister of State.
Persecondnews reports that this time around, Tinubu has also appointed Heineken Lokpobiri from the oil-rich Delta as the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources.
Other surprises in the list is the appointment of Mr Dele Alake, the President’s Special Adviser on Communication, Strategy and Special Duties as the Minister of Solid Mineral Development.
