Pres. Tinubu arrives in Lagos from London, Paris

After a week-long first working visit to France, President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday evening arrived in Lagos from London and Paris, France

Persecondnews gathered that Tinubu’s decision to fly into Lagos instead of Abuja is to enable him to observe Wednesday’s Eid-el-Kabir.

The president had traveled to France to attend a summit on ‘A New Global Financing Pact’ hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.

After the summit on Friday, June 23, he travelled to London from France on Saturday on a “private visit.

Tinubu’s Gulfstream jet arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, at about 5.05 pm into the waiting hands of crowd of supporters.

The Summit looked at opportunities to restore fiscal space to countries that face difficult short-term financial challenges, especially the most indebted; mobilize innovative financing for countries vulnerable to climate change; foster development in low-income countries, and encourage investment in “green” infrastructure for the energy transition in emerging and developing economies.

Tinubu and the other global leaders, multilateral institutions, financial experts and economists took a more holistic look at the recovery of economies from the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, and rising cases of poverty, with a view to providing access to finance and investment that would leverage inclusive growth.

While in France, he met with the President of Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, where they discussed bi-lateral relations.

He also met with Sri Prakash Lohia, Chairman Indorama. The Largest Independent Polymer Producer in the World.

Among others personalities, Tinubu also received in audience, Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as Prof. Benedict Oramah, the President of AFREXIM Bank.
