Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai on Wednesday, disclosed that some powerful elements in Aso Rock are working assiduously to jeopardize the chances of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the February 25 election.

”I believe there are elements in the Villa that want us to lose the election because they didn’t get their way; they had their candidate. Their candidate did not win the primaries.

“They are trying to get us to lose the election, and they are hiding behind the president’s desire to do what he thinks is right.

” I will give two examples: this petroleum subsidy, which is costing the country trillions of Naira was something that we all agreed would be removed,” El-Rufai said while featuring on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday.

This is coming just barely 24 hours after Persecondnews earlier reported that the APC candidate, Tinubu said “we wont be where we are today if this present administration has done the right thing.”

He said this at the APC presidential rally in Calabar.

“They moved the exchange rate from N200 to N800, if they have repaired it, if they have arrested it, we won’t be where we are today.”
