Grammy award winner, Burna Boy, has blamed lack of organisational structure in the entertainment industry for the delayed take off of his Lagos concert on Sunday.

The singer in a statement made available on Monday evening insisted he wasn’t late, neither was his band late for the concert that was marred by violence in the early hours of Monday.

A copy of the statement obtained by Per Seconds News said he couldn’t have gone across the world staging first-class shows and thrilling numerous people only to come back home and serve it less to his fans in Nigeria.

“Let’s be clear, I wasn’t late, my band wasn’t late. We pride ourselves on being highly professional, especially with our stage craft. There were three options available to me: wait for audio to be fixed and delay the show,” he said.

He added that he has not come out at 11pm as planned with no sound or call breach of contract, and pull the plug.

“Lagos, I love you but l can’t do this again. The organisational structure and infrastructure are not there for the complexities of my audio and production needs.”

According to the Grammy winner, he couldn’t just turned his back on the show, hence the reason he insisted the show must go on.

He, however, promised to build a state-of-the-art stage in the Nigerian entertainment business to guide a against a reccurrence.

“Investors and stakeholders interested should please hit me up; we need to make some changes.”
