After about 13 days sojourn in the United Kingdom, the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Thursday returned to Abuja.

Persecondnews had reported the whereabouts of Tinubu had been a matter of concern since his absence at the signing of peace accord in Abuja ton September 29.

“Our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja from London,” a presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, announced in a tweet on Thursday.

About three days ago, Tinubu had said from London that he was strong and healthy, dismissing the rumour of his death and that he had withdrawn from the presidential race.

In a tweet accompanied by a video showing him working out on a fitness bike, he wrote, “Many have said I have died; others claim I have withdrawn from the presidential campaign. Well… Nope.

“This is the reality: I am strong, I am healthy and I am ready to serve Nigerians from Day One.”

On Wednesday, the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council spokesman, Mr Festus Keyamo (SAN) said on Channels TV that he didn’t know the whereabouts of Tinubu.

Again on Thursday, Keyamo, who is the Minister of State for Labour Employment, said on ARISETV that the party could not continue to defend its presidential candidate’s whereabouts every minute.

“The party, Tinubu, and the presidential campaign council would not be issuing press statements to explain the former Lagos State governor’s whereabouts.”
