The United Nations Secretary-General, Mr Antonio Guterres, has departed Borno State for the Presidential Viila, Abuja, and he is currently meeting with President Muhamamdu Buhari.
The UN chief had arrived at the nation’s seat of power at 3.00 p.m. and was received by the President.
At the time of filing this report, the two leaders have gone into a closed-door meeting.
They are expected to deliberate on issues bordering on security and the humanitarian crisis in the Northeast and other parts of the country.
Guterres is scheduled to address State House correspondents after his meeting with Buhari.
Guterres whose visit to Nigeria is the first since he assumed office, had earlier visited Senegal and Niger Republic.
