The political influence and dominance of Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai appears to be waning as the unusual happened in the just-concluded September 4 local government election in the state.

PDP also defeated APC in the Councillorship election at the unit by polling100 votes against APC’s 53.

According to him, it was nearly impossible to rig it the elections because of the electronic voting machine used for the exercise.
The governor said the election was an improvement over the 2018 local government elections which was characterized by multiple voting.
Voters in the state had trooped out on Saturday in the 19 of the 23 Local Government Areas to exercise their civic responsibilities by electing Chairmen and Councillors.
