Hours after kidnap, APC Chairman in Nasarawa found dead, body dumped near his house

The wave of banditry appears to have heightened across the country as the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasarawa chapter and former Commissioner, Mr Philip Schekwo, has been killed after he was kidnapped last night.

The lifeless body of Schekwo, who hailed from Toto council area of Nasarawa State, was found a few meters from his house on Sunday morning.

The late APC chieftain was Commissioner for Commerce and Industries during the first tenure of former Gov. Tanko Al-Makura.

Meanwhile, Gov. Abdullahi Sule, the Deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe and the Senator representing Nasarawa South, Alhaji Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and other government officials have visited the scene of the incident.
