Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel has revealed that the death of his mother this year slowed him down and contributed to his hiatus from the music scene.
The singer made this known while engaging his fans, whom he said have remained the rock of his career since he broke into the mainstream with his hit song, “Woju.”
Kizz Daniel had kept a low profile for much of the year, leaving fans wondering about his silence and absence from the music scene.
Explaining the reason behind his break, the singer said he paused for his mother and not because he was working on an album.
“I paused for my Mom not an album … Lost her this year,” Kizz Daniel wrote.
He said the loss slowed him down but added that he now has to keep moving for the rest of his family.
“But I gotta keep moving for the rest of the family,” he added.
The singer, who is also a father of twins, apologised to his fans for his late return to the music scene, saying, “sorry I came late this year.” 🙏🏾
