An illicit alcoholic beverage production facility in Yafin, Badagry on Lagos State has been uncovered by the Lagos State Police Command.
Following credible intelligence from the public, officers raided the location and took a 48-year-old suspect, Anaebo Hilary, into custody.
Police spokeswoman SP Abimbola Adebesi said the operatives seized adulterated drinks, empty bottles, counterfeit labels, and various processing equipment allegedly used in the illegal packaging operation
“The operation led to the arrest of Anaebo Emeka Hilary, ‘m’, 48 years, at Yafin, Badagry, Lagos State, where the suspected illegal factory was located,” she said.
The factory has been sealed and Hilary remains in custody as police continue investigating the seized evidence.
Commending the officers for their swift response to the tip-off, Lagos State Police Commissioner Tijani Fatai urged the public to keep sharing credible intelligence on criminal activities via the command’s emergency lines.
