Ahead of next week’s 2027 AFCON qualifiers, 20 players have already reported to the Super Eagles camp in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom.
The early camp arrival features key stars and new invitees, including Moses Simon, Akor Adams, Taiwo Awoniyi, Isaac James, Emmanuel Fernandez, Benjamin Fredericks, Moses Usor, and George Ilenikhena.
PerSecondNews reports that Arthur Okonkwo, Alex Iwobi, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, Ademola Lookman, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Chibuike Nwaiwu have also joined the squad.
Tolu Arokodare, Bruno Onyemaechi, Raphael Onyedika and Frank Onyeka complete the 20 players already in camp.
Media officer of the Super Eagles Promise Efoghe confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Chukwueze and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali were due around noon.
Nigeria opens the qualifying campaign against Madagascar in Uyo on September 25, then travels to face Guinea-Bissau on September 29.
The Eagles are also billed to play Russia in an international friendly on October 6.
Team media officer Promise Efoghe confirmed that the Super Eagles’ first training session takes place today, September 22.
Accredited journalists will be granted access for the opening 15 minutes.
