In a significant political shakeup at the National Assembly, 17 members of the House of Representatives have formally defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
The move was made public during Tuesday’s plenary session when Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu read the defection notices to the chamber, confirming the cross-party switch by the lawmakers.
