With the March 27, 2026, opening ceremony just 12 days away, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has officially cleared all competition sites in the Federal Capital Territory for the 3rd National Para Games.

As Nigeria’s premier multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities, the Moshood Abiola National Stadium will serve as the heartbeat of the competition.

The massive complex is set to host a wide array of disciplines, with Para Athletics taking center stage in the Main Bowl, a statement obtained by Persecondnews said.

Indoor arenas across Packages A and B will accommodate Para Powerlifting, Sitting Volleyball, Wheelchair Basketball, Para Taekwondo, Para Table Tennis, Para Badminton, and Wheelchair Tennis.

Outside the primary stadium precinct, Para Canoeing has been assigned to the scenic Jabi Lake, while Amputee Football will take place at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch.

Thousands of elite athletes from all 36 states and the FCT are set to gather for this landmark event—a powerful showcase of determination, excellence, and the push for total inclusivity in sports.

Beyond the medals, the National Para Games remain a vital engine for discovering new talent and cementing Nigeria’s reputation as a powerhouse in the global para-sports arena.”
