Vice-President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Davos, Switzerland, to head the Nigerian delegation at the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

A central focus of his visit will be presenting Nigeria’s 2026 economic outlook to an audience of high-level global leaders and institutional investors.

This mission marks a pivotal moment in the nation’s economic diplomacy, highlighted by the official inauguration of “Nigeria House Davos,” a dedicated platform for fostering international partnerships.

This sovereign pavilion, established through a public-private partnership, will serve as a hub for ministerial engagements, investment roundtables, and cultural diplomacy.

“This facility will serve as a hub for ministerial engagements, investment roundtables, and cultural diplomacy throughout the week,” said Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the Vice-President in a statement on his official X handle on Sunday obtained by Persecondnews.

Shettima will also participate in plenary sessions on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and biotechnology.

Nigeria will showcase investment opportunities in key sectors, including solid minerals, climate-sustainable agriculture, creative industries, and digital technologies.

“We will present our solid minerals, climate-sustainable agriculture, creative, and digital sectors to investors worldwide,” said Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole.
