President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign gained fresh grassroots momentum in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Thursday, as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, mobilised residents and distributed empowerment items to selected beneficiaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The programme combined political mobilisation with the distribution of food items and livelihood equipment, as well as the opening of new classrooms in two secondary schools in the area.
PerSecondNews reports that more than 1,000 bags of foodstuffs containing spaghetti, semovita and other items were distributed to residents, while selected beneficiaries received generators for vulcanisers, grinding machines and sewing machines to support their businesses.

In the education sector, the organisers also opened a block of three classrooms at Maryland Primary School, located within Ogbomoso Girls High School, to improve learning facilities.
Addressing the gathering, Dare urged eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards and participate actively in the 2027 elections.

He called on residents to support Tinubu, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the governorship candidate of APC and other candidates.

Dare also highlighted Federal Government infrastructure projects and policy reforms, citing the Ibadan – Ogbomosho road project as one of the initiatives being undertaken by the Tinubu administration.
The rally attracted several political figures, including former Oyo State Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan, Olusegun Odebunmi, Senator Yusuf Brimmo, Olamijuwa Alao Akala and the APC senatorial candidate for Oyo North, Hannah Ogunesan, alongside other party leaders and supporters.
The programme forms part of efforts to strengthen the APC’s grassroots presence in Ogbomoso ahead of the 2027 general elections.
