Nigerian rapper, Zlatan Ibile, has shown off a congratulatory gift from billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu to him and his wife, Davita, days after their star-studded traditional wedding that turned Lagos into a gathering point for celebrities and entertainment heavyweights.

The singer shared a picture of the gift on his Instagram Story, tagging the Heirs Holdings chairman with the affectionate caption, “MR @tonyoelumelu ❤️”.

The package came with congratulatory cards bearing handwritten messages, including “Congrats! To us. Our wife” and “Zlatan, Well Done + To us,” suggesting a warm personal gesture to the newlyweds.

Tagged #DTTheUnion, the traditional ceremony brought together an impressive collection of musicians, actors, comedians, influencers and other personalities, with videos and photographs from the event spreading across social media.

One of the biggest talking points was the presence of Afrobeats star Davido, who served as one of Zlatan’s groomsmen, offering a glimpse into the friendship between the two music stars beyond their professional lives.

Other entertainers spotted at the celebration included Phyno, Teni, Peruzzi, Reekado Banks, K1 De Ultimate, Iyabo Ojo, Broda Shaggi, Carter Efe, Berri Tiga, Cute Abiola and Enioluwa Adeoluwa, among others.

The gathering, with its concentration of music stars and entertainment personalities, made Zlatan’s wedding one of the most discussed celebrity events of the weekend, with Lagos buzzing with activity around the celebrations.

Fashion was another major attraction, as the couple paid homage to their cultural roots through two distinct traditional looks.

For their first appearance, Zlatan and Davita embraced Edo-inspired attire, with the bride adorned in elaborate red coral beads while the groom complemented her look with traditional accessories and a cream ensemble featuring red beadwork.

They later changed into coordinated mint-green and cream outfits inspired by Yoruba traditional fashion, presenting a different look for the occasion.

Davido’s appearance among the groomsmen, the colourful outfits and the gathering of familiar faces from the entertainment industry helped fuel the online excitement surrounding the ceremony.

For Zlatan and Davita, however, the celebration marked more than a glamorous gathering.

The couple has been together for years and share two sons, making the wedding another milestone in their family journey.

Their children had also featured in the couple’s pre-wedding announcement, which presented their relationship through a family-centred message about love, support and togetherness.

Zlatan’s latest social media post, showcasing Elumelu’s gift, has now extended the post-wedding celebrations, bringing the rapper’s union into the orbit of one of Nigeria’s most prominent business figures.
