Nigerians will have an opportunity to engage the leadership of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) on its activities and contributions to tertiary education when the agency holds its second National Town Hall Meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

The meeting, scheduled for October 15, 2026, will provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss the Fund’s mandate, achievements and impact on Nigeria’s tertiary education sector since its establishment.

The engagement is expected to bring together policymakers, academics, students, civil society organisations and members of the public for interactive sessions with the Fund’s leadership.

“The meeting was organised by the Fund’s Board of Trustees, chaired by former Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, to promote transparency, accountability and public understanding of its activities,”TETFund’s Director of Public Affairs, Abdulmumin Oniyangi, said in a statement emailed to PerSecondNews on Tuesday.

According to him, the town hall would allow participants to engage directly with the Fund’s leadership on its mandate, operations and contributions to the development of tertiary education in Nigeria.

“The engagement forms part of TETFund’s commitment to strengthening stakeholder participation and ensuring greater public understanding of its work,” it noted.

The Fund urged stakeholders in the education sector and members of the public to participate actively in the meeting.
