Breaking: Fatalities Feared in Ondo Helicopter River Crash

A helicopter crashed into a river in the early hours of Monday along Larada Street in the Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, raising fears of multiple casualties.

Emergency responders and security agencies have rushed to the scene following reports from local residents, though the number of passengers and their identities remain unconfirmed.

Search and rescue operations have intensified as personnel from the Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base (FOB) deployed to the scene.

The cause of the crash has not yet been established.

Confirming the incident, Ondo State Police Command spokesperson Jimoh Abayomi stated that emergency teams are actively responding to the situation.
