Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has named his starting XI for today’s AFCON 2027 qualifier against Guinea-Bissau, making three key changes to the lineup.
Late call-up Taiwo Awoniyi gets the nod up front, while Alex Iwobi takes charge of the midfield at the 15,000-capacity Estádio 24 de Setembro in Bissau.
Both sides won their openers and will fight the Djurtus and the Eagles for top spot in Group L.
Nigeria came from behind to beat Madagascar 2-1 in Uyo.
Guinea-Bissau impressed with a 2-0 win over co-hosts Tanzania in their first qualifier.
Victor Osimhen is still out as he recovers from injury, Awoniyi, brought in late, makes his first Super Eagles start in almost three years.
George Ilenikhena misses the trip through injury despite his debut impact against Madagascar. Ola Aina and Samuel Chukwueze have been left on the bench.
Stanley Nwabali starts in goal, the defence is Osayi-Samuel, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi and Bruno, with Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka and Iwobi in midfield.
Ademola Lookman supports Awoniyi and Ché Adams in attack as Nigeria chase a second straight qualifying win on the road.
