Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface scored an off-pitch payday in Paris, walking away $500 richer after defeating socialite Tunde Perry in a high-stakes dice game—a moment captured in a viral clip circulating on X.
The trending video shows the striker rolling a double six to secure the $500 bet before immediately calling for his winnings with a casual, “Oya shey transfer.”
The lighthearted gamble comes during an extended spell away from national team duty.
Boniface has been left out of head coach Éric Chelle’s plans, with his last call-up dating back to December 2025 on Nigeria’s 54-man provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
After being cut from the final 28-man roster for the Morocco tournament, Boniface publicly backed teammate Felix Agu despite his own omission.
Boniface’s international hiatus extended into September 2026 after his omission from Nigeria’s AFCON 2027 qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.
He last played for the Super Eagles in June 2025 and remains without a goal in 13 international appearances.
Reintegrated into Bayer Leverkusen after a goalless loan stint at Werder Bremen, he has managed just a single brief substitute appearance this season—a late cameo against Elversberg.
Despite playing under ten minutes, he generated three shots (one on target), though he failed to score.
He has otherwise sat on the bench in league play and was omitted from the club’s Europa League squad.
His finishing output when available remains strong. In 2023–24, he posted 0.77 goals per 90 minutes and averaged 0.51 goals per Bundesliga match.
However, persistent fitness troubles since mid-2024 have severely curtailed his availability, driving his season minute totals down sharply from 1,552 to 1,008, 325, and currently just six.
