Veteran Nigerian singer Terry G has publicly appealed to Grammy-winning star Burna Boy to collaborate with him on a remix of his classic hit, “Free Madness,” saying he hopes the Afrofusion singer will answer his call after recently showing love to the song.

The singer made the appeal in a video shared on his Instagram page obtained by Persecondnews after Burna Boy was seen singing along to “Free Madness”, a song that became one of Terry G’s signature records more than a decade ago.

Speaking directly to his fans and Burna Boy, Terry G expressed optimism that the moment could lead to a collaboration between them.

“God, just touch Burna Boy’s heart, make he call me directly to jump on the remix of this ‘Free Madness’ record,” he pleaded.

The self-styled Akpako Master suggested that Burna Boy’s public excitement while listening to the song was enough reason to revisit the record with a fresh version.

Speaking pidgin English, Terry G said:”The way Burna Boy dey vibe to the song, e show say the music still dey alive. Make we give the fans something special.”

He maintained that “Free Madness” remains one of the songs that defined an era in Nigerian music and believes a remix featuring Burna Boy would introduce it to a new generation of listeners.

“I just want make Burna Boy call me. We go jump on the remix together and make history,” Terry G said, reiterating his desire for the collaboration in pidgin.

The singer’s appeal comes after videos circulated online showing Burna Boy enthusiastically singing Free Madness during a celebration, sparking conversations among fans about the possibility of a remake.

Many social media users welcomed Terry G’s request, arguing that Burna Boy has often celebrated veteran Nigerian musicians and could help breathe new life into the iconic record.

Others noted that a remix would bridge two different generations of Afrobeats, combining Terry G’s energetic style with Burna Boy’s globally recognised sound.

Terry G also appeared convinced that fans would embrace the collaboration, insisting the timing was right for the record to return to the spotlight.

“God, just touch Burna Boy’s heart. Make he call me directly. I dey ready for the remix,” he repeated in his emotional appeal.

As of the time of this report, Burna Boy has not publicly responded to Terry G’s request for a “Free Madness” remix.
