Nigeria’s domestic football scene is set to receive a major injection of funds, thanks to a landmark sponsorship agreement between Top-Tier Sport Management and the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) and the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The 10-year partnership, unveiled in Abuja on Friday, is one of the biggest private sector investments in Nigerian football history.

“This ₦40 billion investment is about sustainability, growth and global relevance,” said Chichinwoko, CEO of Top-Tier Sport Management.

“After five years, the partnership will be reviewed,” she added, reiterating the company’s commitment to transforming the leagues.

Persecondnews reports that the deal will see Top-Tier Sport Management serve as the official title sponsor and commercial partner of the NWFL and NNL, with funds allocated for improved prize money, club subventions, officiating, grassroots development, and media coverage.

This is expected to provide long-term financial stability for clubs and players, boosting the overall quality of Nigerian football.

The partnership has been welcomed by football stakeholders, who believe it will have a positive impact on the sport’s growth in Nigeria.

With this deal, Nigeria’s football leagues are poised to gain more visibility and attract top talent.
