Vice President Kashim Shettima has presented the “Leadership In Action” Award to Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) at the PEBEC Gala Awards Ceremony.

This recognition acknowledges the NPA’s outstanding efforts in enhancing port operations and service delivery.

The award is a reward for the success of the Ports & Customs Efficiency Committee, established by PEBEC to improve coordination between the NPA and Nigerian Customs Service.

This initiative has led to significant improvements, including reduced vessel turnaround times and faster cargo clearance.

Dr. Dantsoho expressed gratitude for the award, emphasizing the NPA’s commitment to continued excellence.

“This award is not just a recognition of what has been achieved, but a commitment to achieve even more,” he stated, highlighting the authority’s dedication to deepening reforms and improving service efficiency.

The PEBEC initiative aims to boost Nigeria’s competitiveness by celebrating institutions driving meaningful change in the business environment.

The NPA’s achievement is a notable milestone in the country’s efforts to enhance its maritime sector and attract investment.
