The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has announced a significant change to its Renewed Hope Estate housing programme with all units now to be sold at a single, nationwide price.
According to a statement from Badamasi Haiba, the Ministry’s Director of Press and Public Relations, the new uniform prices are:
* ₦8.5 million for a one-bedroom semi-detached bungalow.
* ₦11.5 million for a two-bedroom unit.
* ₦12.5 million for a three-bedroom unit.
Haiba stressed that this standardized pricing is designed to “promote affordability, transparency, and fairness,” ensuring all Nigerians have equal access to the housing program regardless of their location.
Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, Minister of Housing and Urban Development, confirmed that priority in allocation will be given to:
* Low- and middle-income earners.
* Civil servants at all levels.
* Employees in the organized private sector with verifiable income.
* Nigerians living abroad.
The Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr. Shuaib Belgore said several payment options are available—outright purchase, mortgage, rent‑to‑own, and installment plans—to make the units more accessible.
Persecondnews reports that applications for the newly priced units opened immediately.
Prospective buyers can apply via the Renewed Hope Housing portal or visit the ministry’s headquarters and regional offices.
“Sales of the completed units across the north and south will commence shortly, with the programme targeting 100,000 homes nationwide through a public‑private partnership involving Continental Civil & General Construction Ltd and Ceezali Ltd,” the statement said.
The Renewed Hope Cities & Estates initiative, launched under President Bola Tinubu in February 2024, aims to deliver at least 1,000 units per site in the six geopolitical zones plus the FCT, and a minimum of 500 units per site in the remaining 30 states.
The flagship project, the 3,112‑unit Renewed Hope City in Karsana, Abuja, marked the start of the rollout.
