Kano Pillars Football Club’s General Manager, Ahmed Musa, has issued a public apology for the fan violence that erupted during their match against Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, Oyo State.

“What transpired against Shooting Stars is heartbreaking, shameful, and completely unacceptable. It does not represent the true values, identity, or the proud history of Kano Pillars,” Musa said in a post on X handle, expressing his disappointment and regret over the incident.

He noted that the club values community, passion, and respect, and that violence and indiscipline will not be tolerated.

Musa assured that the club will work closely with the relevant authorities to identify those responsible for the incident and ensure they face the consequences. “We understand that apologies alone are not enough.
