The Ghari/Tsanyawa seat had been vacant since the previous election, which produced the NNPP candidate, was declared inconclusive.

The NNPP, however, won the Bagwai/Shanono Assembly seat, with its candidate defeating the APC’s Abdullahi Ahmed Muhammed, who garnered 5,347 votes.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Hassan Adamu Shitu, announced NNPP candidate, Ali Lawal Al-Hassan, the winner after polling the highest votes.
