Tragic Loss of Crew Member Overshadows BBNaija Evictions

1.6k

Week two of Big Brother Naija Season 10 was marked by an unexpected blend of grief and goodbyes.

Two housemates, Danboskid and Ibifubara, were evicted on the same night the show confirmed the passing of a production crew member, Ayotunde Elegbede.

The announcement by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu drew a hush from the live audience and housemates alike, adding an emotional weight to what is usually a night of high drama.

Eviction came first, prompting a heartfelt send-off from close ally Zita and playful chants of “three gbosa for Danboskid” from fellow housemates.

On stage, he admitted the news came as a shock but said he was ready to face life outside the house, hinting at a Nollywood career and a possible continuation of his connection with Zita.

The second exit of the night was Ibifubara, a 28-year-old therapist who admitted to feeling lonely during the week as alliances shifted.

She confessed to a quiet attraction to Otega and Bright Morgan but explained she chose not to act on it.

Outside the house, she plans to launch a podcast and steer the creative direction of a hair brand.

While Denari narrowly escaped eviction after landing in the bottom three, the house still had moments of levity.

Rooboy emerged as the most influential housemate of the week, with Biggie hinting at a special reward to be unveiled in real time.

Earlier, Thelma sparked conversation by telling Ebuka that she considered Isabella “not her brother’s keeper,” pointing to incidents from the last Head of House game.

But it was the announcement of Ayotunde Elegbede’s death that lingered long after the eviction lights dimmed.
