BBNaija’s Anto Lecky Appointed SSA on Tourism and Creative Economy in Edo State

Former Big Brother Naija reality star, Munirat Lecky, widely known as Anto Lecky, has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Creative Economy to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo.

Taking to her official platform, Munirat expressed gratitude to the governor for entrusting her with the role, describing it as “another opportunity to serve him, my state and my country again in another capacity.”

In her new role as SSA on Tourism and Creative Economy, Munirat is expected to play a central part in positioning Edo State as a leading destination for culture, heritage, and entertainment, both locally and globally.

Highlighting the significance of her portfolio, she noted the state’s current momentum in reclaiming its historical identity.

“With the return of many stolen Benin Bronzes, soon-to-be opened museums, and an ever-growing entertainment industry, there is no better time for Edo State to be on the forefront of tourism and the creative economy in Nigeria and the world,” she stated.

She also said her commitment to ensuring Edo’s cultural wealth is showcased effectively and strategically.

“Edo State’s borders and its economy are open to all—travelers and investors, domestic and international.”

Known for her vibrant personality and advocacy for culture and youth empowerment, Munirat described her appointment as a bridge between the creative industry and governance.
