Ex-Arsenal Midfielder, Ghanaian Man Thomas Partey, Charged with Five-Count Rape

Thomas Partey, a 32-year-old midfielder who has played for Arsenal, has been charged with five counts of rape and sexual assault by the Metropolitan Police Service.

The allegations involve three separate women and are reported to have taken place between 2021 and 2022.

The Crown Prosecution Service authorized the charges after reviewing a comprehensive file of evidence submitted by detectives.

The charges against Thomas Partey include two counts of rape relating to one woman.

Additionally, he faces three counts of rape in connection with a second woman.

Furthermore, Partey is also charged with one count of sexual assault relating to a third woman.

Partey will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

The Metropolitan Police Service is urging anyone with information or who has been impacted by this case to contact detectives via email at CIT@met.police.uk.

The Crown Prosecution Service reminds everyone that criminal proceedings are active, and the defendant has the right to a fair trial.
