President Bola Tinubu met with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and some ex-governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Saturday evening behind closed doors.

Among those present were Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Ayodele Fayose (Ekiti), and Samuel Ortom (Benue).

While sources confirmed the presence of these former PDP governors, no specific details about the meeting were disclosed.

This gathering follows a previous visit by Fayose to President Tinubu at his Lagos residence during the Sallah break on June 9.

Fayose had told journalists that his visit was to “encourage” the President, reiterating his long-standing belief in Tinubu’s leadership, even during his own tenure as governor.
