Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen and Bruno Onyemaechi have become the first foreign-based players to arrive in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the team’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against Amavubi on Friday.

The duo, who arrived on Sunday, were welcomed at the Kigali International Airport by Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle and his assistants.

Osimhen, in particular, is coming off a hot streak, having scored a hat-trick in Galatasaray’s 4-0 win over Antalyaspor just two days prior to his arrival in Kigali.

The Nigerian striker will be looking to carry his form over to the international stage as the Super Eagles seek to continue their winning momentum in the World Cup qualifiers.

The Nigeria Football Federation has arranged for the Super Eagles to stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Kigali, where they will prepare for their clash against Rwanda on Friday evening.

The team will then face Zimbabwe in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Tuesday, March 25, in their next World Cup qualifier.

Persecondnews reports that a delegation from Remo Stars, including Coach Daniel Ogunmodede and goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, as well as Rangers Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, also arrived in Kigali on Sunday.
