Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, has made a stunning admission, claiming he is receiving treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Abeokuta, and referring to himself as a “madman”.

Portable made this claim on Tuesday while pleading with Nigerians and the Ogun State Government after being declared wanted by the state police command.

The Zazoo Zeh crooner is facing allegations of assaulting three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office—identified as TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi—during an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, Ogun State.

According to reports, the town planners encountered an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father, at Odogwu Bar in the area.

Upon introducing themselves and requesting the building’s approved plan, Portable’s father informed them that his son was unavailable.

The State Police Command said the assaulted officers, who sustained various degrees of injury, managed to escape from the scene and thereafter reported the incident to the policem

The case was then escalated to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).

“Nine accomplices were arrested, but Portable fled the scene and has since gone into hiding,” the police report stated.

In a series of rants on Instagram, the singer reacted to the police declaration, claiming that he was being set up for wearing a vest featuring the face of Senator Adeola Solomon, popularly known as Yayi.

In a bizarre twist, Portable further stated that he has a medical card from Aro Psychiatric Hospital, where he regularly receives treatment, reinforcing his self-proclaimed status as a “madman.”
