Enugu Rangers Edge Remo Stars 2-1 in Thrilling NPFL Clash

Rangers International secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Remo Stars in a highly anticipated Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match Day 24 fixture on Sunday.

The win marked the flying Antelopes’ third consecutive unbeaten match, rediscovering their elusive “Mojo” after a challenging period.

The match was a battle of wills, with longtime friends and rival coaches Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede setting aside their decade-long friendship as tempers flared in the high octane encounter.

Isaac Savior opened the scoring for Rangers International in the 30th minute, followed by Kingsley Maduforo’s goal in the 49th minute, doubling the lead.

Remo Stars launched a relentless attack, testing the mettle of Rangers International’s defence.

In a nail-biting climax, the defence finally cracked in the 89th minute, allowing Sikiru Alimi to score and seal a 2-1 victory for the flying Antelopes.

The win earned Rangers International three crucial points, solidifying their position in the NPFL standings.
