FCT President Cup: EFCC FC, Galadima FC, FWC FC, N-Youth Academy Secure Semifinal Spots

The stage is set for the semifinals of the FCT President Cup, scheduled to take place on Monday, February 17th, at the FCT Sports Complex in Abuja.

In the first semifinal clash, EFCC FC will lock horns with Galadima FC, while Family Worship Champions FC (FWC FC) will face off against N-Youth Academy in the second semifinal matchup.

The four teams secured their semifinal spots in style, after two weeks of thrilling football in the quarterfinals.

Defending champions EFCC FC edged out Derby FC 2-1, while Galadima FC thrashed Milantarki Care FC 4-1, taking their goal tally to six, the highest in the competition so far.

FWC FC and N-Youth Academy also advanced to the semifinals, albeit through penalty shootouts.

FWC FC eliminated Assess FA 4-2 on penalties after a goalless 90 minutes, while N-Youth Academy secured a 3-1 shootout victory over Sporting Supreme after the match ended 1-1 in normal time.

According to the tournament organizers, the semifinal matches are expected to be highly competitive, with all four teams eyeing the giant trophy and perks that come with being the champions of the FCT President Cup.

Persecondnews reports that the matches are scheduled to kick off at 2 pm and 4 pm, respectively.

“We are excited to host the semifinals of the FCT President Cup, and we expect great football artistry from all four teams,” said a tournament official.

“The fans and stakeholders are guaranteed a thrilling experience as the teams battle for a spot in the final.”
