President Bola Tinubu has commended Gov. Peter Mbah of Enugu State for his outstanding achievements, noting that the state is making significant strides towards a brighter future.

According to the President, Mbah is effectively positioning the state for 21st-century development.

Tinubu spoke on Saturday in Enugu at the inauguration of various projects executed by the state government, including 30 completed Enugu Smart Green Schools, 60 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, and the Enugu International Conference Centre.

His Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, in a series of posts on X.com on Saturday said: “President Bola Tinubu touched down at the Enugu airport on a working visit to commission various projects by the state government.

“He is received by H.E Peter Mbah, the Executive Governor of Enugu State.

“President Bola Tinubu commissions the 135K road in Enugu Metropolis. PBAT says infrastructure is the back bone of development, congratulates Enugu Governor.”

Addressing Mbah during the event, Tinubu was quoted as saying: “You are a good thinker, Mbah. You are my friend. We can go places together. Building Nigeria. Building the future. Use technology to build. Promote investment.

“We must encourage the private sector to come into politics.”

Persecondnews reported earlier that President Tinubu arrived at Enugu’s Akanu Ibiam International Airport aboard a Nigeria Air Force Airbus A330, marking the beginning of his official visit to the state at 1:22 pm.

He was warmly welcomed by Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, and Anambra Deputy Governor Dr. Gilbert Ibezim upon his arrival.
