The Super Eagles B have stepped up their training at the Remo Stars’ Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, as they prepare for the crucial African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying fixture against Ghana’s Black Galaxies.

A total of 30 players have been assembled in camp, with only Enyimba FC duo Henry Ozoemena and Imo Obot excused due to their involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Nigeria is seeking to qualify for the CHAN for the fourth time, having failed to qualify for the 2009, 2011, 2021, and 2023 finals.

The team’s previous appearances in 2014 and 2018 resulted in bronze and silver medals, respectively.

Coaches Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ikechukwu have been working tirelessly with the players as the countdown begins to the first leg, scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium on December 22.

The Super Eagles B are eager to regain their pride of place in the hearts of Nigerian football fans, having missed two consecutive editions of the CHAN.

The team’s rivalry with Ghana is well-documented, with the Black Galaxies having eliminated Nigeria from the competition in the past.

However, the Super Eagles B are determined to overcome their opponents and secure a spot in the CHAN finals.
