Super Eagles Gear Up for Benin, Rwanda Clashes with Star-Studded Squad

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has unveiled a 23-man squad for the Super Eagles’ crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

Captain William Ekong, Ademola Lookman, Moses Simon, Victor Osimhen, and 19 other players will seek to secure six points and seal Nigeria’s spot in the tournament.

Coach Augustine Eguavoen has assembled a strong team, blending experience and youth.

Goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali and Maduka Okoye, defenders Calvin Bassey and Bright Osayi-Samuel, and midfielders Frank Onyeka and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru are among the notable call-ups.

The Super Eagles will face Benin Republic on November 14 at the Stade Felix-Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan, before hosting Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on November 18.

Nigeria currently tops Group D and will secure a spot in the final tournament with a point against Benin Republic.

The Super Eagles have seven goals for and none against, giving them a comfortable lead over Rwanda.

Eguavoen’s men will look to maintain their unbeaten run and finish the qualifying campaign on a high note.

With a star-studded squad, Nigeria is poised to overcome its opponents and book a spot in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
