NNPC Ltd. Mourns Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Lagbaja’s Passing

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.

In a heartfelt condolence message by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., Mr. Olufemi Soneye, he stated that the company’s board, management, and staff commiserated with President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian Army on the monumental loss of a distinguished officer.

NNPC Ltd. praised Lt.-Gen. Lagbaja’s unwavering commitment to the nation’s economic prosperity and development, particularly in the fight against pipeline vandalism and oil theft.

“His support was invaluable, demonstrating his dedication to the country’s well-being. The company acknowledges his brilliant service, describing him as a gentleman who served with distinction.”

Soneye extended prayers to Lagbaja’s immediate and extended families during their time of grief.

The company wished and prayed that God grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and for Lagbaja’s soul to rest in eternal peace.
