Amid the ongoing legal battle with cross-dresser Bobrisky, Falz has shifted his attention to praise his close relationship with Nollywood star Funke Akindele.

In a recent interview, the singer opened up about their bond, reflecting on their shared journey in the entertainment industry and expressing deep admiration for her work ethic.

It is no surprise that Falz and Funke Akindele share a strong connection, having collaborated on the famous sitcom Jenifa’s Diary and their upcoming project Everybody Loves Jenifa.

Their on-screen chemistry has also led to a meaningful off-screen friendship.

Speaking with Chude Jideonwo, Falz highlighted that Akindele is one of the most hard-working entertainers he has ever encountered.

He recalled how the actress first reached out to him, wanting him to be a part of her comedic series, long before it became the household name it is today.

“I remember Funke Akindele; a big shout out to her, by the way,” Falz said.

“She had reached out to me, maybe through Instagram, saying she had seen some of my videos. She mentioned she was working on something and wanted me to be a part of it. At that time, Jenifa’s diary didn’t even exist yet.”

Falz went on to emphasize how impressed he was with her dedication to her craft.

“I don’t think I’ve ever crossed paths with any other entertainer in this country that works harder than she does,” he added, cementing his respect for Akindele’s tireless efforts.

Meanwhile, Funke Akindele recently opened up about the challenges she faced before her rise to stardom.

She shared a video on her Instagram page, giving fans a glimpse of her work on the set of her highest-grossing film, A Tribe Called Judah, where she plays a lead role.

In the post, Akindele reflected on how the film addresses the struggles of single mothers raising children, a theme close to her heart.

She also spoke about her personal journey, sharing that despite facing numerous obstacles, she learnt to rise above them and use her experiences to inspire others.

As a box office queen and a role model for women, Akindele continues to encourage her followers to believe in themselves and inspire future generations, showing how her resilience and hard work have paid off in her career.
