At least six people lost their lives on Sunday at Second Rainbow in the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos when a tanker crashed into a commercial bus, a saloon car, and two motorcycles.

The tanker driver’s break failure led to the accident at 4 p.m., Persecondnews gathered.

The brake of the tanker failed, and it crashed into those two vehicles. They have recovered some bodies… about six or seven,” a witness said.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident via a post on X on Sunday.

#followlastma: “A multiple accident involving a tanker loaded with oil, two commercial buses, a Honda saloon car, and two commercial motorcycles has just occurred at Second Rainbow inward Mile 2.

“#lasambus is on the ground to attend to the casualties involved, and safety measures are being put in place by our men.”
