Dubois Delivers Devastating Knockout, Joshua’s Title Hopes Dashed

1.1k

Daniel Dubois retained his IBF heavyweight title with a stunning fifth-round knockout victory over Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium.
Dubois dominated the all-British showdown, dropping Joshua twice before landing a decisive right hand that sealed the win.

Joshua, who was vying for a third world title, never fully recovered from the first-round knockdown and struggled throughout the fight.

Post-fight, Joshua showed humility and respect, crediting Dubois and his team. “We rolled the dice, but we came up short… I’m always saying to myself, I’m a fighter for life; we keep rolling the dice.”

This marks Joshua’s second knockout loss, following his 2019 defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr.

FIGHT STATS:

– Round 1: Joshua knocked down
– Round 2: Joshua wobbled, survives
– Round 5: Dubois lands decisive knockout blow

DUBOIS’ RECORD:

– 19 wins (17 KOs)
– 1 loss

JOSHUA’S RECORD:

– 25 wins (22 KOs)
– 4 losses

Dubois’ victory solidifies his position as a top heavyweight contender, while Joshua faces an uncertain future in the division.
