Barely two days after Mr. Peter Opara was named the Federal Capital Territory Police Commissioner, Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has redeployed Rivers Police boss, Mr. Tunji Disu, to the FCT command, effective immediately.

Persecondnews recalls that Disu was appointed Commissioner of Police for Rivers State in November 2023.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) had announced Opara as the FCT CP a few days ago.

Born on April 13, 1966, in Lagos State, CP Disu has an illustrious career within the Nigeria Police Force since joining as a Cadet ASP in 1992 at the prestigious Nigeria Police Academy Kaduna Annex.

Disu boasts an impressive academic record, holding degrees from renowned institutions, including a Bachelor’s in English Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations and Strategic Studies, and advanced diplomas in Forensic Investigation and Criminal Intelligence.

Additionally, he has earned Master’s degrees in Criminology, Security, and Legal Psychology from Lagos State University and Public Administration from Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State.

Contacted, the FCT Command’s Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the report when Persecondnews crime correspondent reached her on phone.

To our enquiry, she replied Yes on Whatsapp.
