Just in: DSS arrests NLC President, Joe Ajaero

Operatives of the Department of State Services have arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero.

Report reaching Persecondnews said Ajaero was arrested on Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on his way to the United Kingdom for an official assignment.

The labour leader is scheduled to attend the Trade Union Congress conference in London, which begins today.

The details and reasons for the arrest are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
